James firmly believed that everyone should have the opportunity to compete at a higher level, regardless of financial barriers. At JSSA, our board of directors is dedicated to going above and beyond to fulfill James' vision for equal opportunities in youth sports.
Established in 2020 in Omaha, Nebraska, JSSA was born out of a genuine desire to inspire youth, support the community, and turn aspirations into actions. As an organization, we're propelled by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support.

How do I sign my athlete up for Swimming? The JSSA Swim Club is underway! We are not yet accepting registrations. Refer to our swimming page.
Where is JSSA located? JSSA was founded in Omaha, NE. Our main office is with Black Men United. We operate in various locations in the Omaha/ Council Bluffs area.
Who is James Scurlock? James Reginald Dewitt Scurlock a.k.a. "JuJu" was a beloved father, brother, and friend to many. Visit James' memorial page here.
Is JSSA a 501(c)3 non-profit? Yes! We are able to receive tax-free donations and provide tax-exempt receipts.
